On 24 April 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who briefed the President on the development of navigational/data-exchange technologies of the GLONASS global navigation satellite system, says the Kremlin.
“This year we will fully equip all seaports in Crimea with these systems. Do you remember how you criticised us for lagging behind in GPS? We have caught up with this backlog and will not have it anymore”, said Dmitry Rogozin.
“At present, in Russia differential correction systems are installed in 107 airfields out of 182, 43 seaports out of 67, and 33 on inland waterways”, he added.
