    BW LPG модернизирует четыре двухтопливных судовых двигателя для работы на СУГ топливе

    BW LPG подписала контракты, включая опцион, на поставку и модернизацию четырех двухтопливных двигателей, работающих на сжиженном углеводородном газе (СУГ) на судах своего флота. По планам BW LPG, работы по первой в отрасли конверсии на СУГ топливо будут проведены в ходе запланированного техосмотра и ремонта судов, начиная с 2020 года, говорится в сообщении компании.

    По оценке BW LPG, переход на СУГ топливо позволит компании сократить выбросы оксида серы на 97%, тем самым обеспечив полное соблюдение всех существующих и будущих международных экологических требований к судоходству, в частности, стандарта IMO по 0,5% уровню серы в топливе (c 2020 года). Суда компании, работающие СУГ топливе, будут иметь лучшие показатели экологичности и смогут плавать в особых зонах контроля выбросов (ECA) с судов и зонах контроля выбросов серы (SECA) c уровнем серы в 0,1%. Помимо сокращения серы, BW LPG прогнозирует сокращение твердых частиц в выбросах на почти 90%, парниковых газов – почти на 25% и окислов азота на 20%.

    Сжиженный углеводородный газ в качестве судового топлива обладает многими преимуществами в сравнении с топливом, отвечающим нормативным требованиям, в целом улучшая экологические показатели на 11%. К другим преимуществам можно отнести простоту хранения, более быструю процедуру бункеровки и доступность бункеровочных судов и оборудования. Использование СУГ в качестве бункеровочного топлива также эффективно с точки зрения экономии средств.

    Судоходная компания BW LPG с 40-летним опытом работы в настоящее время является ведущим международным владельцем и оператором флота танкеров для перевозки СУГ (LPG), газовозов типоразмеров VLGC и LGC общей грузовместимостью более 4 млн куб. метров. Входит в группу BW Group флот, которой включает более 180 судов, в том числе нефтеналивные танкеры, танкеры для перевозки СПГ и СУГ, плавучие системы по хранению и регазификации (FSRU), танкеры-химивозы, сухогрузы и плавучие установки хранения и отгрузки нефти (FPSO).
