Petrozavodsk, Karelia based Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard launched the Ice 30 class buoy tender of Project 3265 on 14 June 2019, says press center of Rosmorrechflot.
The vessel was ordered by FGI RECHVODPUT for the Volga-Baltic Basin Inland Waterways Authority. The vessel design was developed by naval architecture and marine engineering firm Engineering Shipbuilding Centre.
The ceremony was attended by Dmitry Kislov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia; Mikhail Drobin, head of FGI Rechvodput; personnel of Volga-Baltic Basin Inland Waterways Authority; Vladimir Maizus, Director of Onezhsky Shipyard; representatives of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia and other officials.
The 3265 series buoy tender was designed to support the navigation on inland waterways of Volga-Baltic Basin for trawling, maintenance of aids to navigation and vehicle, passenger and goods transport.
Key particulars: LOA - 40.0 meters; Beam - 9.0 meters, Cargo capacity - 60 tonnes, Accommodation - 84 passengers; Service speed - 11.9 knots, Endurance - not less than 5 days.
Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard (Onezhsky Shipyard) was founded in 2002 on the basis of ship repair facilities of the Belomorsky-Onezhsky Shipping Company, formed in 1944. In 2011, after the enterprise management dismissal the shipyard production was suspended and was followed by the firm’s bankruptcy procedure. In late 2014 the enterprise was transferred to the state ownership with FSUE Rosmorport as the yard Founder and resumed its shipbuilding and ship repair business.
