    Throughput of Port St. Petersburg in Jan-Sep'2019 grew by 2% Y-o-Y to 44.97 million tonnes

    In January-September 2019, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 44.97 million tonnes of cargo (+2%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 8% to 7.36 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 4% to 6.50 million tonnes, general cargo – fell by 12% to 9.00 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – down 12% to 930,600 tonnes, transshipment of loose cargo increased by 13% to 252,100 tonnes including 306,900 tonnes of timber (+19%).

    The port’s container throughput increased by 5% to 168,875 TEUs.

    In 2018, the port handled 59.32 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 2.7 mln TEUs.
