Throughput of Vostochnaya Stevedore Company up 4% in Jan 08, y-o-y to 30,791 TEU In January 2008, Vostochnaya Stevedore Company LLC handled 30,791 TEU (+4%, year-on-year), the company’s press center reports. In the reported period, the port handled 13,617 TEU of export containers (+37%, year-on-year). Transshipment of import containers fell by 6% to 16,288 TEU, coastal trade cargo – fell by 45% to 762 TEU, transit 124 TEU (-87%). In January 2008, transshipment of import cargo accounted for 53% of the terminal’s total throughput, export – 44.2%, coastal trade cargo – 2.4%, transit – 0.4%. Vostochnaya Stevedore Company LLC is the largest container terminal of the Far East. It operates at the territory of Vostochny port. It is under joint operation of port operator DPW and N-Trans Group.
