Public hearing on construction of ESPO end point in Kozmino Bay to be held next week

Public hearing on construction of a large oil terminal in Kozmino bay (Primorie) within the framework of East Siberian-Pacific Ocean pipeline will be held next week, Oleg Kolyadin, head of Nakhodka administration, announced Thursday according to Neft Rossii referring to RIA Novosti.

According to Kolyadin, the project is getting clearer. Local authorities continue work on assignment of land plots for construction, Kolyadin added.

Construction of an oil port within the framework of ESPO project should boost the development of Kozmino, the population of which does not exceed 460 people. 4,770-kilometer pipeline will link the Irkutsk region with the terminal in Promorje. Oil is to be delivered by ESPO to the Far East of Russia and to the countries of Asia-Pacific region.

Spetsmornefteport Kozmino was incorporated by Transneft OJSC in early January of 2008 as an engineering-and-construction company for designing and construction of an terminal in Kozmino capable of handling 15 million tonnes of oil per year.
