Construction of oil port in Primorye is delayed

Work on design documents for oil port Kozmino in Primorsky Territory will take longer than expected. As the President of "Transneft"Nikolai TOKAREV reported to Vedomosti in his interview, VNIIST is a Kozmyno planner. As early as autumn it should have given complete project documentation.

"Our expectations that this work will be finished in February have not been confirmed. We expect it to happen in April. We aren't satisfied with the quality of project because there are a lot of lacks there. But even if we get project documentation on Kozmino in April it will take us at least 20 month to build it. How was one going to put it into operation at the end of 2008?" said TOKAREV.

Commenting on the announcement of the first Vice-Premier Dmitry MEDVEDEV and representatives of Minpromenergo that they will insist on finishing ESPO construction by the end of 2008, the "Transneft" President said, "I think it's lack of reliable information. One should find out what the position of Minpromenergo is. Our activity network is made and we'll discuss it in Minpromenergo."

"Even if kill ourselves over building linear part and oil-transfer stations, without Kozmino and railway interchanges, which RZhD builds near Nakhodka, what will this pipe be for?" he said.
