Maersk expands Far East - Middle East network Maersk Line is pleased to announce improvements to its Far East - Middle East network effective April 2008. The enhancements will include the launch of our new FM2 service in the Far East Middle East market. In addition, we will improve our existing Far East Middle East services and we will thereby be able to provide our customers with more reliable and cost-effective services. FM1 new rotation: Yokohama (Japan), Xingang (China), Qingdao (China), Shanghai (China), Ningbo (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Jebel Ali (UAE), Salalah (Oman), Laem Chabang (Thailand), Yantian (China), Xiamen (China), Kaohsiung (Taiwan), US West Coast, and Yokohama (Japan) 0. The FM1 service will continue to provide direct coverage from Yokohama (Japan), North China, and East China to the Middle East markets via Jebel Ali (UAE). The improved FM1 schedule will reduce the transit time between the Far East and the Arabian Persian Gulf with one day, making it one of the most competitive products in the market. FM2 new rotation: Nansha (China), Yantian (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Jebel Ali (UAE), Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Jebel Ali (UAE), Bandar Abbas (Iran), Singapore, and Nansha (China) The new FM2 service will provide coverage of South China to Colombo (Sri Lanka), South East India, and the Arabian Persian Gulf markets. In South China, the call at Nansha (China) will offer a direct service for the fast growing West Pearl River Delta. The direct coverage of South China and Tanjung Pelepas (our hub port for South East Asia) will open a gateway to key Middle East ports such as Jebel Ali (UAE), Dammam (Saudi Arabia), and Bandar Abbas (Iran). 0th. Eastbound cargo from Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Jebel Ali (UAE), and Bandar Abbas (Iran) will now have a direct link to Singapore and South China. FM5 New rotation: Shanghai (China), Xiamen (China), Hong Kong (China), Yantian (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Salalah (Oman), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Aqaba (Jordan), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), and Shanghai (China) Direct coverage of Xiamen (China) to Salalah (Oman), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Aqaba (Jordan). A continued direct service and competitive transit times from the Chinese ports of Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Yantian to Salalah (Oman), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), and Aqaba (Jordan).
