GazpromNeft Marine Bunker enters Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers The Board of Directors of the Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers held a regular meeting yesterday. According to the press center of the Association, the BOD made an unanimous decision on admission of GazpromNeft Marine Bunker LLC, which started its activities last year. GazpromNeft Marine Bunker LLC was registered in St. Petersburg on October 9, 2007 as a 100-percent subsidiary of Gazprom Neft OJSC. The bunkering company sells oil products in the ports of St. Petersburg and of the Far East. In perspective it plans to open its subdivisions in Novorossiysk, Kaliningrad, Murmansk and to expand its positions in the global market. The BOD also discussed a number of current issues including perspective application of the newly passed Federal Law on self-regulating organizations in favor of the bunkering market participants. The related proposals are to be provided to the general meeting of the Association in June 2008. The other event scheduled for June is the first all-Russia forum ‘Current state and perspectives for development of Russia’s bunkering market’. The BOD underlined that the main task of the forum is to ensure efficient discussion on the industry’s urgent issues. Thus the forum needs practicing experts and representatives of authorities as speakers. The press center also reported that a permanently acting arbitrage started operation under the Association.
Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers (RosMorRechBunker) was founded in July 2005. Currently it comprises 26 member-companies, specializing in marine and river vessels fuel supply and represents all regions of the Russian Federation from the Far East to Kaliningrad.
