Port Vyborg Ltd. and TransContainer OJSC sign cooperation agreement

Port Vyborg Ltd. (Oslo Marine Group) and TransContainer OJSC have signed an agreement on cooperation to simplify circulation of cargo between the port of Vyborg and Oktyabrskaya Railway, press center of Oslo Marine Group reports. According to the agreement, TransContainer is to open its agency at the territory of the port of Vyborg. The agency will be in charge of transport-and-logistics issues in the port.

“Opening of our own agencies at the territory of large commercial seaports is a strategic plan of our company. The agency in the port of Vyborg will arrange container transportation by railway to and from the port as well as regular container trains,” Director General of TransContainer Peotr Baskakov says.

Both parties are sure the agreement will contribute to the development of cooperation in the sphere of container transportation between the port and Russian railways.

“Cooperation with TransContainer OJSC will enable us to develop a comprehensive and efficient transport&logistics system capable of decreasing time needed for delivery of containerized and general cargo,” President of Oslo Marine Group Vitali Archangelski says.
