Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 7% to 8.09 mln t in Jan-Feb'17

In January-February 2017, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 8.09 mln t of cargo (+7%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 6% to 1.24 mln t, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 15% to 1.28 mln t, general cargo – up 8% to 1.88 mln t, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 27% to 112,500 t.

The port’s container throughput increased by 5.2% to 292,180 TEUs.

In 2016, the port handled 48.62 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.74 mln TEUs.
