Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-June 2017 climbed by 5%, year-on-year, to 310.2 mln t, the Port Authority statistics show.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 4.8% to 115.46 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 12.2% to 9.35 mln t.
The port’s container throughput climbed by 6.3% to 16.15 mln TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2016, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 593.3 million tonnes.
