Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-May 2018, increased by 0.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2017 to 260.89 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Handling of oil products fell by 6.4% to 91.45 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – down 8.2% to 7.05 million tonnes.
Container traffic grew by 12.3% to 14.96 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2017, the port handled 626.17 million tonnes of cargo.
