The commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Vladimir Korolev at a meeting in the Admiralty set the task to the leadership in connection with the start of training of ships participating in the naval parade, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The first open water training will be held today, July 11, in the designated area of the Gulf of Finland. 18 ships and boats, which will be involved in the Main naval Parade in the waters of the Neva river, will take part in the training. Commander of the Leningrad Naval Base rear Admiral Vyacheslav Rodionov will lead the training.
Russian Navy commander Admiral Vladimir Korolev paid attention to the coordination of tactical groups of ships during the maneuver and actions to practice episodes of the Main Naval Parade in the course of the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Navy Commander Vice-Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov, Deputy Commander of the Baltic Fleet, Vice Admiral Sergei Yeliseyev, the commander of Leningrad Naval Facilities real Admiral Vyacheslav Rodionov, the assistant to the Commander of the Navy captain 1 rank Sergei Pavlov, the Deputy commander of the Leningrad Naval Facilities captain 1st rank Roman Myasishchev and a number of other officials.
