Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-October 2018, increased by 0.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2017 to 523.73 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Handling of oil cargo fell by 5.3% to 182.97 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – down 6.6% to 14.15 million tonnes million tonnes.
Container traffic grew by 9.8% to 30.45 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2017, the port handled 626.17 million tonnes of cargo.
