Ilya Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation - head of Rosrybolovstvo

On implementation of shipbuilding project based on investment quotas

    - The work (on control of investment quotas projects - Ed.) is in its final phase. We have finalized the last issues with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, because will be in charge of the direct control. The working group including representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, Ministry of Industry and Trade and Federal Fisheries Agency will approve quotas and the procedure for signing the agreements порядок. Therefore, I think that in the nearest future we will submit it to the Government…

We are going to do that (expand the list of resources for investment quotas -Ed.), but not in the nearest future. Within about three years, we will analyze the outcome of the quotas and the work of our shipbuilding companies, our results with fish processing plants. And we are going to extend this list, we are able to do that and I believe it will be reasonable  because unlike fleet renovation for the Northern Basin as high as 65%, the Far East basin will unfortunately see just 25%. Besides, we have some facilities not involved yet ... we will make a final decision basing on the analyses of the completed projects. It would not be right to introduce additional investment quotas today since there are still some difficulties with implementation of current investment quotas projects.
