Vostochny Port’s Managing Director Sergei Kushnarev about his company’s immediate prospects:

"We are pleased with the positive dynamics of cargo turnover for the reporting period,” says Sergei Kushnaryov.

“There was a slight decline in June at the Universal handling complex, caused by the recent tragedy at the Raspadskaya coal mine that supplied a third of all coal volume at our port. As of now, the problem has been solved. We’ve signed contracts with the new supplier and the situation has stabilized. As a result of the current year Vostochny Port is expected to have handled over 17 million tons”.
