March 16 two powerful wheeled armed cranes Sennebogen were put into operation at universal-transshipping complex of the Vostochny Port JSC. Special equipment was purchased as part of the investment program of renovation and modernization of material handling equipment. Assembling and setting-up took only 4 days and was carried out jointly with representatives of the supplier firms.

Mr.Gritsaenko, chief mechanical engineer of QUINTMADI JSC:

- "First of all, this technique is characterized by simplicity in maintenance and repair. It is operated by joystick, there is no need to deal with the levers. By such means, the operator does not get tired of work and it increases the performance efficiency. The cargo characteristics allow the crane to lift 25 tons and up to 6 tons at full reach of crane (it allows to work with clamshell 4.5 cubical m).

Operation of these machines boost transshipping (especially of cars), and also provides an opportunity to load ships themselves. It is practiced in the ports of Novorossiysk, Murmansk and St. - Petersburg.”
This special technique combines the highest quality, efficiency, performance and security. Manipulators are universal and mobile, can load various types of cargo. Manufacturer’s selection was obvious. The first equipment of Sennebogen company Vostochny Port purchased two years ago. During the work, it has proved to be a good choice.

- «Sennebogen 870 differs from Sennebogen 835 by large capacity, reach of the crane and mobility. These cranes will help us to improve performance, including the unloading of cars (40-50 units per day).

System management of these cranes for unloading of wagons can operate in the moderate cycle, easier than the portal crane. We hope that this will give a positive result in the preservation of cars.

By the end of the year, the service yard PPK-1 will be equipped by two lift trucks Komatsu, two auto lift trucks Toyota and caterpillar bulldozer Caterpillar.
