STS MIR sets out on her training voyage

A solemn farewell ceremony was held on April 15, 2016 on the Lieutenant Schmidt embankment of St.  Petersburg, Russia to see off the cadets of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping embarking on their maiden instructional sail-training voyage on board the sailing ship Mir (STS MIR).
