FSUE Rosmorport is building up its own dredging fleet to decrease the expenses for contracting. The company is set to raise the share of works performed by its own equipment to 70%, Rosmorport’s press center cites Andrey Lavrishchev, General Director of FSUE Rosmorport, as saying today at the Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging Congress organized by media group PortNews (7-8 February 2018).

According to Andrey Lavrishchev, the company’s dredging fleet numbers 30 vessels of different classes. The share of dredging works performed by Rosmorport has already reached 65%.

When speaking at the Congress about “promising projects of sea port infrastructure development including construction of hydraulic engineering structures and dredging”, Andrey Lavrishchev said the scope of repair dredging performed by the company in 2017 totaled 9.5 mln cbm of material.

To ensure synchronized development of ports and approaches, RF Government prepared roadmaps for the development of seaports till 2020 (with a possibility of extension till 2030). They also cover the development of railway and highway approaches to the ports.

As part of the Congress’ business programme, FSUE Rosmorport and Mordraga LLC signed a Memorandum of Intent to develop mutually beneficial cooperation, exchange of experience and technological solutions in the field of dredging.

Mordraga LLC, Russian company founded in 2005 as part of Belgian DEME Group (a global group with over 150 years' experience in maritime construction and engineering work worldwide) provides a complete cycle of solutions in dredging, land reclamation and hydraulic engineering at seaports and in open sea for laying of underwater pipelines and installation of offshore structures including platforms.
