Qingdao Port throughput exceeds 100 million tonnes in Q1
By the end of April, Qingdao port's cumulated throughput in the first four months of this year has surpassed 100 million tonnes, rising 15 per cent year on year, Logistics Week reported.
The report said Qingdao port's capacity takes up only 1.8 per cent of the aggregate port capacity in China, but its throughput tonnage was 6.9 per cent of the national total.
Qingdao port handled 25.02 million tonnes in January and 25 million tonnes in February. Its throughput during the first quarter cumulated to 75.06 million tonnes.
