    Судно Greenpeace заняло точку бурения платформы Statoil в Баренцевом море (фото)

    Судно Greenpeace Esperanza заняло точку бурения на участке Аполло в Баренцевом море, не позволяя таким образом платформе Statoil приступить к работам. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба общественной экологической организации.

    Полиция освободила задержанных ранее активистов, снятых норвежской полицией с платформы, однако акция протеста против бурения в Арктике продолжается. Платформа «Трансоушен Шпицберген» находится на подходе к участку бурения, но точка уже занята судном Esperanza.

    Ранее норвежская полиция прервала 48-часовую акцию Greenpeace на платформе «Трансоушен Шпицберген». Буровая направилась к месту работ на участке Apollo с двухдневной задержкой.

    Statoil имеет право начать подготовку к бурению, но пока не получила разрешение на строительство скважины, поскольку Министерство окружающей среды еще рассматривает жалобу Гринпис.

    Экологи обратились в ведомство с жалобой, что Statoil нарушает принятый в стране запрет на бурение вблизи границы льдов и создает угрозу для находящегося поблизости природного заказника на острове Медвежий.
