  Jotun поставит для 11 контейнеровозов United Arab Shipping системы, препятствующие обрастанию судов в море

  Jotun и United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) заключили соглашение о поставке современных систем препятствующих обрастанию корпусов морскими организмами. Системы будут установлены на 11 контейнерных судах, строящихся для арабской судоходной компании, в рамках масштабной судостроительной программы стоимостью $2,3 млрд, сообщает пресс-служба UASC.
  
  Контейнеровозы строятся на южнокорейской верфи группы Hyundai Heavy Industries (HII). Восемь судов будут иметь вместимость по 14,5 тыс. TEUs и три судна - по 18,8 тыс. TEUs. Последние будут размещены на азиатско-европейских сервисах. Передача первого судна по этому контракту планируется на ноябрь 2014 года.
  
  Из 11 судов 8 будут покрыты запатентованной Jotun системой Hull Performance Solutions (HPS), с использованием особой краски SeaQuantum X200 (силил метакрилат) и передовой высоко-частотной технологии измерения. Как утверждает компания-производитель, эта система позволит увеличить прирост гидродинамической производительности судна до 15%, а также сэкономить затраты на топливо.
  
  Судоходная отрасль нуждается в подобных системах, т.к они ограничивают рост организмов на корпусах судов, что влияет на производительность судов и их долговечность. Специальные покрытия могут обеспечить прирост производительности, снижение затрат на топливо и улучшить экологические характеристики.
  
  Выбор решения от Jotun отвечает планам UASC, которая осуществляет перевозки контейнерных грузов в интересах более чем 12 тыс. клиентов по всему миру и стремиться вкладывать большие средства в строительство современных, эффективных и экологичных судов. Новые контейнеровозы строятся на класс DNV GL с возможностью использования СПГ в качестве топлива и нуждаются в передовых и эффективных технологиях для корпусов, отметили в судоходной компании.
  
  Cудоходная компания United Arab Shipping Company была создана в июле 1976 года (с офисом в Кувейте) с долевым участием шести арабских государств Персидского залива (Бахрейн, Ирак, Кувейт, Катар, Саудовская Аравия и ОАЭ). Головной офис находится в в Дубае (ОАЭ). Компания управляет флотом из 52 собственных и зафрахтованных судов, которые обслуживают более 18 контейнерных сервисов, соединяющих Ближний Восток с Европой, Средиземноморьем, Индийским субконтинентом, Дальним Востоком, Западной Африкой, Северной и Южной Америкой. Судозаходы UASC охватывают более 200 портов и пунктов назначения по всему миру.

  Jotun COSCO Marine Coatings (Qingdao) Co Ltd входит в группу компаний Jotun Group (Норвегия) одного из лидирующих поставщиков на мировой рынок красок и специальных покрытий для морских судов, включая покрытия препятствующие обрастанию подводных частей корпусов морскими организмами. В 2011 году Jotun запустила новаторскую линейку продуктов, противообрастающее покрытие SeaQuantum X200, показавшее реальное влияние на энергоэффективность судна. Компания применила бизнес-модель, при которой заказчик может не платить, если продукт не подтвердил заявленные качества при эксплуатации.
