    Портовый оператор Dublin Port Company открыл третью очередь контейнерного терминала

    Dublin Port Company 30 января 2015 года открыла расширенный контейнерный терминал Alexandra Quay Container Terminal в порту Дублин (Ирландия), говорится в сообщении портового оператора.

    Компания инвестировала в проект расширения объекта 35 млн евро.

    Пуск в эксплуатацию означает завершение третьей и последней очереди развития нового терминала общей площадью 10,7 га. Завершение проекта позволит дополнительно обрабатывать 80 тыс. TEUs грузов на терминале, проектная мощность которого - более 400 тыс. TEUs в год.

    Первые два этапа проекта включали строительство новых треполосных подкрановых путей для портальных кранов на превмоколесном ходу (RTG) для укладки контейнеров.

    На третьем этапе строительства был построен четвертый крановый путь для RTG крана, осуществлено расширение и дноуглубление причальной стенки, чтобы причал смог принимать и обрабатывать суда большего тоннажа с помощью портальных кранов перегружателей.

    Оператор терминала, Burke Shipping Group инвестировала в закупку нового седьмого RTG крана и планирует принять в конце текущего года новый портальный кран-перегружатель. Оба крана поставляются производителем - Liebherr (Килларни).

    Dublin Port Company, созданная в 1997 году, является самофинансируемой организацией с ограниченной ответственностью, принадлежащей государству и управляющей портом Дублин, главным портом Ирландии. Штат портового оператора - 144 человека. Порт переваливает почти половину грузов Ирландии, 1/3 контейнерных грузов и является самым крупным из трех основных портов острова. Порт Дублина принимает ежегодно более 1,76 млн туристов, доставляемых паромами и круизными судами.
