In 2014 Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (CTSP) spent 6.1 million rubles on implementing social and environmental projects.
1.4 million rubles was spent on reducing adverse environmental impact, including 0,7 million on wastewater treatment, maintenance of treatment facilities and storm water pump stations. The rest of the funds were used for environmental monitoring, waste removal and recycling and development of regulatory documents.
4.4 million rubles was spent on the social program which includes improvement of working conditions, training, social aid to the employees facing extreme circumstances, health-care activities, sports and leisure.
Within the charity program CTSP spent 300 000 rubles to support the activities carried out in the Kirovsky district of St.Petersburg. In particular, 100 000 rubles were spent on the New Year events arranged by the Golden Pelican charity. CTSP employees with the Santa Claus congratulated the children undergoing long-term treatment in the City Hospital No.1 and the Petrov Oncology Hospital and presented over 50 New Year gifts.
200 000 rubles were spent on the New Year celebration and gifts to the Center No.7 for Orphans and Abandoned Children of the Kirovsky district. The children received over a hundred of useful gifts, including warm clothing, footwear, toys, sportswear and gear.
Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (member of UCL Port, the stevedoring division of the international transportation group UCL Holding) is a modern container handling facility in the Fourth District of the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. In 2014 the terminal handled 387,600 TEU.
