    Спуск на воду и церемония имянаречения ледокола «Мурманск» проекта 21900М состоится 25 марта 2015 года в Хельсинки (Финляндия). Как передал корреспондент ИАА «ПортНьюс», об этом в ходе расширенного заседания Коллегии Федерального агентства морского и речного транспорта (Росморречфлота) сообщил генеральный директор Выборгского судостроительного завода Александр Соловьев.
     
    По его словам, готовность судна составляет 78%.

    Ледокол «Мурманск» является вторым в серии из трех ледоколов проекта. Головное судно - «Владивосток», планируется сдать в июле 2015 года. Его готовность составляет 92%. Готовность третьего ледокола серии «Новороссийск» составляет 63%.

    При этом ледокол «Мурманск» строится совместно с Arctech Helsinki Shipyard (Финляндия), первый и последний - «под ключ» на Выборгском судостроительном заводе.

    Ледоколы проекта 21900 М строятся по заказу Федерального агентства морского и речного транспорта, заказчиком-застройщиком выступает ФГУП «Росморпорт».

    Ледокол проекта 21900М является модификацией проекта 21900. Ледокол проекта 21900М – двухпалубное судно неограниченного района плавания с двумя полноповоротными винторулевыми колонками и подруливающим устройством, которое оборудовано вертолетной площадкой. Технические характеристики: длина наибольшая - 119,8 м; ширина наибольшая - 27,5 м; расчетная осадка - 8,5 м; скорость хода на чистой воде около 17,0 узлов; водоизмещение около 14 тыс. тонн; ледопроходимость – 1,5 м; мощность пропульсивного комплекса около 17 МВт.

    Судно способно преодолевать льды толщиной до 1,5 м. Его основное назначение: самостоятельная проводка крупнотоннажных судов, буксировка, тушение пожаров на плавучих объектах и иных сооружениях, помощь судам, терпящим бедствие, перевозка полезных грузов. Ледоколы проекта 21900М будут работать на Балтике.

    Как сообщалось ранее, «Объединенная судостроительная корпорация» (ОСК) и «Выборгский судостроительный завод» (ВСЗ) 23 февраля 2012 года подписали контракты на строительство дизельных ледоколов проекта 21900М мощностью 16 МВт. Общая стоимость контрактов составляет около 8 млрд руб.
