RZHD is to invest more than 5.5 million roubles into reconstruction of Usinsk (Komi) station
RZHD OJSC is to invest more than 5.5 million roubles into reconstruction of railway facilities of Usinsk station (Republic Komi, Northern highway) to provide better transportations of oil products. As RBC reports, it was announced in the press-service of RZHD OJSC. 514.9 thousand tons of crude oil were loaded at Usinsk station of Sosnogorsk branches of Northern highway for the period from January till March 2006.(for the similar period 2005 – 194.5 thousand tons of oil, growth – 264.7 %). Sosnogorsk branch is showing similar positive results i.e. 1 million 653 thousand tons of oil products have been loaded for three months of the current year (in the first quarter of the last year - 1 million 504 thousand). The further development of oil-and-gas resources of the Timano-Pechorskaya province will lead to substantial growth of oil extraction on the territory of Komi Republic to 13.5 million tons a year by 2015. Today consignors of Yenisei LLC and Komibitum LLC load 114-117 tons of oil every day at Usinsk station, which is transported by rail to Vetlosjan station, to Belarus and Arkhangelsk. Laying of two additional railway lines is to begin at a station after the melts. The program for increasing of throughput of Synia – Usinsk area is planned: strengthening of the top structure of a railway on the run taking into account the increase of speed of railway traffic up to 60 km/h, reconstruction of a railway line and artificial constructions. Rest rooms of locomotive brigades and MSD premise (maintenance service department) will be modernized for better operating conditions of railway men.
