    Jensen Marine, дочерняя структура группы Crowley Maritime Corp., работает над концепцией двух типов барж, предназначенных для бункеровки сжиженным природным газом (СПГ), сообщила пресс-служба корпорации.

    Первая концепция предполагает переоборудование уже действующих судов с помощью оснащения баржи надпалубным СПГ танком, что предполагает дополнительные модификации для расширения типов поставляемого продукта, если клиент нуждается в разных видах топлива. В числе преимуществ данного проекта: быстрый процесс модернизации и меньшие затраты, без необходимости инвестировать в строительства нового судна, особенно при отсутствии постоянного спроста у потребителей на СПГ.

    Вторая концепция предполагает строительство новой специальной баржи для бункеровки газом, со встроенными на судне СПГ емкостями большей вместимости. Этот проект отличается улучшенной системой безопасности и эффективностью в эксплуатации.

    Переоборудование или строительство бункеровочных барж предоставляется инновационным решением для морской отрасли, которая стоит перед выбором, что развивать в первую очередь: береговую инфраструктуру для бункеровки СПГ или бункеровочные суда? Баржи являются идеальным решением для бункеровок СПГ в тех случаях, когда в портах нет близко расположенных СПГ терминалов, а также в качестве альтернативы доставки газа автоцистернами.
