In January 2016, port Kavkaz handled 1,118,000 t of cargo (-20%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 207,000 t (down 3.1 times, year-on-year).
Transshipment of oil products fell by 42.9% to 480,000 t, sulphur – up 2.5% to 84,000 t, LPG – up 48.3% to 37,000 t. No grain was handled in January 2016 while in January 2015 the port handled 11,000 t of grain.
Exports from port Kavkaz fell by 49.1%, year-on-year, to 49,000 t, imports – 2.6 times to 7,000 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo increased by 38% to 840,000 t.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 44.3% to 15,400 t.
Passenger turnover climbed by 17.1% to 160,730 passengers.
The number of calls increased by 54.2% to 1,277 calls.
