    APM Terminals инвестирует в модернизацию кранового оборудования на терминале в порту Лос-Анжелеса (США)

    Крупнейший портовый и терминальный оператор APM Terminals подписал контракт на модернизацию 10 причальных кранов-перегружателей (STS) на причале Pier 400 в порту Лос-Анджелес (США). В сообщении компании уточняется, что будет увеличена общая высота кранов и их стрела для обработки супер-контейнеровозов (ULCS) вместимостью до 20 тыс. TEUs.

    Соглашение было подписано представителями APM Terminals и производителем тяжелого перегрузочного оборудования ZPMC (Шанхай, КНР). Китайская компания займется модификацией действующих терминальных кранов NOELL STS. После выполнения проекта модификации, разработанного производителем кранов Terex-Noell, STS краны станут самыми высоким в США.

    Еще одной особенностью модернизированных кранов будет установка световой подсветки на светодиодах (LED), что позволит улучшить видимость и точность операций во взаимодействии с программным обеспечением Optical Character Recognition (OCR), а также снижение потребления энергии на 60% в сравнении с обычной системой освещения.

    В декабре 2015 года на прибывшем в порт Лос-Анджелес Benjamin Franklin для облегчения азгрузки контейнеры были сложены на палубе в высоту по семь контейнеров, снизив тем самым эффективную полезную вместимость до 15 тыс. TEUs. Кроме того, пришлось задействовать до 1,5 тыс. грузчиков, работавших посменно 56 часов для погрузки и разгрузки 11,229 контейнеров (20-ти и 40-ка футовых), а также рекордное количество из девяти STS кранов.

    Терминал Pier 400 APM Terminals запущен в эксплуатацию в 2002 году. На терминале есть железнодорожная станция (65 акров), включая пути для интермодальной доставки грузов, хранения грузов и путей длиной 8 км для одновременного размещения четырех составов. В 2015 году грузооборот терминала составила 2,48 млн TEUs.

    Крупнейший портовый и терминальный оператор APM Terminals (головной офис — Гаага, Нидерланды) входит в состав A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S. Основным направлением деятельности компании является проектирование, строительство, управление и эксплуатация морских портов и терминалов, а также “сухих” терминалов в рамках своей сети терминалов, расположенных в 67 странах мира и включающей активы в 71 порту и более 160 внутренних терминалов. В компании работают 20,300 сотрудников. APM Terminals является также крупнейшим оператором портов и терминалов в Африке, управляющим 12 активами в 10 странах континента, в том числе перевалочных пунктов в Танжере, Марокко и Порт-Саиде (Египет). В настоящее время осуществляются проекты по расширению терминалов в порту Абиджан, Кот-д'Ивуар и Бадагри (Нигерия).
