    Сухогруз MN Baroque прошел новые шлюзы Панамского канала в тестовом режиме (фото)

    Сухогрузное судно MN Baroque типоразмера Neo-Panamax 9 июня 2016 года зашло в Панамский канал со стороны Атлантического океана и успешно прошло в тестовом режиме новые шлюзы Agua Clara. Как сообщает пресс-служба Панамского канала, судно было зафрахтовано администрацией канала (ACP) специально для проведения серии тренировочных проходов по каналу.

    Тестовые плавания проводятся в рамках запланированных мероприятий перед открытием расширенного канала назначенного на 26 июня.

    Балкер длиной 255 м и шириной 43 м выполнит серию шлюзований для проверки готовности новой ветки шлюзов перед их приемкой и обучения персонала Панамского канала. Транзиты по каналу будут проходить параллельно с обучением лоцманов и операторов буксиров в учебных заведениях: Центре моделирования, в Центре подготовки Панамского канала для моделирования, исследований и развития судоходства (SIDMAR ) и учебном центре на масштабной модели. С 2012 года в общей сложности из 280 лоцманов 186 уже прошли обучение в центре SIDMAR с помощью моделей судов типоразмера post-Panamax.

    Сообщается, что шлюзование и проход судна были осуществлены успешно, в соответствии с планом.

    После открытия 26 июня 2016 года расширенный канал сможет удвоить пропускную способность судоходной артерии и объемы перевозимых грузов, что обеспечит большую экономию для судоходных компаний и грузоотправителей.

    Напомним, проект расширения Панамского канала является самым крупным строительным проектом на этой международной судоходной артерии с момента открытия канала в 1914 году. Подготовка к этому проекту длилась десять лет, было проведено более 100 изыскательских работ. Строительство новой ветки канала началось в 2007 году. Проект расширения канала включает строительство нового третьего комплекса шлюзов на входах в канал со стороны Атлантического и Тихого океанов, проведение дноуглубительных работ для строительства второй ветки вдоль канала. Новые шлюзы гораздо шире и глубже, чем действующие (54,8 м, 18,2 м против 33,5 м и 12,8 м).

    Реализация проекта позволит вдвое увеличить объем грузопотоков через канал благодаря возможности прохождения самых крупных на сегодняшний день контейнеровозов, ускорить время транзита и улучшить обслуживание. Панамский канал обслуживает более 144 судоходных линий, соединяющих 160 стран и 1,7 тыс. портов по всему миру. Расширенный канал обеспечит большую экономию для судоходства за счет увеличившейся грузоподъемности новых судов, таких как Neopanamax (прежнее название – Post-Panamax), которые смогут проходить через водный путь и перевозить примерно в три раза больше контейнеров, чем судно Panamax. Открытие канала для мега-судов типоразмера Neopanamax, а также СПГ танкеров будет способствовать появлению новых линейных сервисов и положительно скажется на отрасли в целом, считают в администрации Панамского канала.

    Администрация Панамского канала (ACP) является независимым, автономным учреждением правительства Панамы. Компания отвечает за управление, эксплуатацию и техническое обслуживание Панамского канала после того, как США 16 лет назад официально передали управление каналом Панаме. Деятельность ACP базируется на внутреннем уставе и положениях, утвержденным Советом директоров ACP.
