High-level officials met in Riga to discuss Rail Baltica Intergovernmental Agreement
High-level officials from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on 11th of August met in Riga to discuss the Intergovernmental Agreement between the states on Rail Baltica railway project implementation. According to Lithuania’s Ministry of Transport and Communications, it was the second round of consultations, after the first on held at the beginning of June.
Representatives covered a wide range of issues, with a focus to the management of the infrastructure, as well as the access to this infrastructure.
With a view to finalize the draft Agreement text, representatives agreed to convene additional meeting in Tallinn, if needed on September. After that, it is expected that draft Agreement will be put for consultations with national institutions and Governments in each respective country.
