    Новейший ледокол Финляндии Polaris готов приступить к ледокольным проводкам

    Ледокол нового поколения, построенный на верфи Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Inc., в соответствии с контрактом между Arctia и Транспортным агентством Финляндии (FTA) готов с 1 ноября 2016 года приступить к выполнению ледокольных операций, сообщает пресс-служба финской судостроительной компании.

    Ледоколы будут укомплектованы экипажами в соответствии с ледовой обстановкой и условиями фрахтователя (FTA).‎

    Ледокол Polaris является уникальным во многих отношениях. Это первый ледокол в мире, который будет работать на сжиженном природном газе (СПГ) или дизельном топливе с сверхнизким содержанием серы. Общая мощность ледокола составляет около 22 МВт, что делает его самым мощным ледоколом Финляндии. Судно соответствует международным стандартам IMO Tier III по выбросам и специальным требованиям по выбросам серы в Балтийском море. Ледокол оборудован тремя подвесными электрическими силовыми установками (с вращением на 360°), что обеспечивает высокую маневренность судна. Судно сможет плавать во льдах толщиной до 1,8 м при скорости до 3,8 узлов.

    Основные характеристики ледокола: длина – 110 м; ширина – 24,4 м; осадка конструктивная – 8 м; скорость – 17 узлов; валовая вместимость – 9300 тонн; дедвейт – 3000 тонн; экипаж – 16 (+8); класс – Lloyd's Register; ледовый класс – PC4; дизель-электрическая движительная установка включает главные двигатели Wärtsilä 2x 6000 кВт, 2x 4500 кВт, 1x 1280 кВт, подвесные электрические силовые установки ABB Azipod 2x 6500 кВт (корма), 1 х 6000 кВт (нос); танки для СПГ: 2 х 400; буксирная лебедка – 300 м, 110 т; тяговое усилие – 214 тонн.

    Polaris украшен логотипом Finland 100, поскольку Финляндия в 2017 году будет отмечать 100-летие независимости. Напомним, что первый финский ледокол Murtaja был запущен в эксплуатацию в 1890 году. Polaris является восьмым ледоколом в составе флота Arctia. Предыдущее ледокольное судно было введено в эксплуатацию еще в 1998 году.‎

    Строительство ледокола Polaris финансировалось по программе Еврокомиссии TEN-T по развитию транспортных коридоров Евросоюза.‎

    Судостроительная компания Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Inc. была создана в декабре 2010 года, как совместное предприятие (50/50) ОАО «Объединенная судостроительная корпорация» (ОСК) и финского филиала южнокорейского судостроительного концерна STX. В настоящее время судостроительный завод является 100% дочерней компанией ОСК. Верфь специализируется на строительстве судов для работы в суровых условиях Арктики, например ледоколов и других морских и специальных судов. Предприятие является лидером в разработке и применении технологических инноваций и имеет почти 150-летний опыт в судостроении. В компании работают около 580 сотрудников.

    Транспортное агентство Финляндии (FTA) обеспечивает безопасность и эффективность транспортировки грузов и пассажиров, в частности следит за состоянием автомобильных, железных дорог и внутренних водных путей. Агентство выполняет программу общего развития транспортной системы страны и является единственным органом, отвечающим за обеспечение зимней навигации в финских портах.
