  MAN Diesel & Turbo поставит экологичные двигатели для патрульных катеров Береговой охраны США (графика)

  Крупнейший производитель машинного оборудования ‎‎МАН Diesel & Turbo получил контракт на поставку главных двигателей серии 28/33D STC для сторожевых катеров прибрежного действия в рамках программы обновления флота Береговой охраны США (USCG), говорится в сообщении MAN D&T.
  
  Программа включает обновление флота катеров классов Famouse и Reliance. Это самый крупный судостроительный заказ в истории закупок Береговой охраны. ‎Суда будут строиться на верфи Eastern Shipbuilding.

  Каждый из новых 110-метровых катеров будет оборудован двумя главными двигателями MAN серии 16V28/33D STC (последовательный турбонадув), мощностью 7,280 кВт, 1 тыс. об/мин. Производством и испытаниями двигателей будет заниматься FME (Fairbanks Morse Engine) на заводе в Белойте (шт. Висконсин, США), а Eastern Shipbuilding Group (Панама-Сити, шт. Флорида) спроектирует и построит патрульные береговые суда.
  
  Первоначально USCG заказала девять катеров. В последующем Береговая охрана планирует увеличить их количество до 25 ед. Передача в эксплуатацию первого катера класса USCG запланирована на 2021 год.‎
  
  Дигатели MAN Diesel & Turbo серии 28/9D STC полностью соответствуют современным экологическим стандартам, действующим стандартам IMO Tier II (+ Tier III, с избирательной каталитической нейтрализацией) и EPA Tier II. Производитель гарантирует низкие расходы на техническое обслуживание и сокращение времени простоя судов для планового ремонта.‎
  
  Fairbanks Morse Engine (входит в группу EnPro Industries, Inc.) является давним партнером MAN Diesel & Turbo имеющим лицензию на производство двигателей MAN Diesel & Turbo с 1968 года и производящим среднескоростные двигатели MAN для проектов по заказам правительства США. ‎
