    Пассажироперевозки Viking Line в 2016 году сократились на 1% - до 6,50 млн человек

    Пассажироперевозки финской паромной компании Viking Line по итогам января-декабря 2016 года составили 6 502 191 чел., что на 1% ниже аналогичного показателя 2015 года, сообщает пресс-служба компании.

    Отмечается, что снижение обусловлено снятием с линий на две паромов Gabriella и Amorella для модернизации интерьеров и техобслуживания.

    Объемы грузоперевозок сохранились на уровне 2015 года - 131 918 ед., количество перевезенных автомобилей увеличилось на 5% - до 682 109 шт.

    Самыми популярными стали  круизы в Эстонию и маршрут Хельсинки-Таллин, который выбрали 2 023 119 чел. Два парома Viking Line прошли модернизацию, в конце года было подписано соглашение о намерениях строительства нового высокотехнологичного парома.

    Пассажиропоток между Хельсинки и Таллином увеличился на 1,6%. Часть пассажиров предпочла короткие круизы длинным, что, свою очередь, привело к небольшому снижению объёмов перевозок между Финляндией и Швецией.

    Главным событием года для финского концерна, как указывается\ в сообщении, стало подписание соглашения о намерениях строительства совершенно нового пассажирского судна, экологичного и технологичного. Постройка должна быть завершена к весне 2020 года.

    Viking Line (Viking Line Abp) — финский судоходный концерн, выполняющий пассажирские и грузовые перевозки по Балтике с 1959 года. Зарегистрирован на Аландских островах c центральным офисом в Мариехамне, который также является портом приписки большей части паромов компании. Оперирует флотом из 7 круизных паромов, курсирующих по 5 маршрутам. В компании работает 2735 человек.
