    Закрылась навигация на Сайменском канале (фото)

    Навигация на Сайменском канале, открывшаяся весной 2016 года, закрылась 26 января 2017 года. Как сообщает пресс-служба Федерального агентства морского и речного транспорта, в церемонии приняли участие замруководителя Росморречфлота Константин Стасюк в составе российской делегации под руководством  статс-секретаря–заместителя министра транспорта  России, Уполномоченного РФ по Сайменскому каналу Сергея Аристова.

    В рамках поездки состоялась встреча со статс-секретарем Министерства транспорта и связи Финляндской Республики, Уполномоченным Финляндской Республики по Сайменскому каналу  Х. Пурсиайненом.

    В ходе встречи были подведены итоги грузовых и пассажирских перевозок по Сайменскому каналу в 2016 году, обсуждались вопросы, связанные с реализацией договора аренды Сайменского канала, подписан протокол о продолжительности навигации на Сайменском канале и Сайменском фарватере в 2017 году.

    Кроме того, стороны обсудили состояние дел по реализации межгосударственного соглашения между Российской Федерацией и Финляндской Республикой о сотрудничестве и взаимодействии в оказании услуг по ледокольной проводке судов в Балтийском море, а также итоги 37-го заседания российско-финляндской Смешанной комиссии по морскому судоходству, состоявшегося 25 января 2017 года в г. Хельсинки.

    Сайменский канал - судоходный канал между озером Сайма в Финляндии и Финским заливом. Общая протяженность - 57,3 км (34 км - в России, 23,3 км - в Финляндии), сухопутной части - 42,9 км (19,6 км - в России, 23,3 км - в Финляндии), морского фарватера - 14,4 км. Канал доступен для плавания речных, озерных и морских судов. Период продолжительности навигации по Сайменскому каналу ежегодно определяется уполномоченными по Сайменскому каналу в зависимости от ледовых условий. В среднем продолжительность навигации составляет 275 дней (9 месяцев).

    Сайменский канал соединяет самую крупную и наиболее судоходную озерную систему Финляндии с Финским заливом. Канал дает возможность проводки судов из портов внутренних вод восточной Финляндии в порты европейского побережья, а также во внутренние порты стран Центральной и Восточной Европы. Основная часть грузопотока приходится на лес, стройматериалы, удобрения, целлюлозу, бумагу, уголь, пиломатериалы.
