  Двухтопливный двигатель ME-GIE производства MAN Diesel & Turbo испытан в режиме работы на этане‎ (фото)

  Первый в мире двухтактный, двухтопливный двигатель серии ME-GIE (вдув газа этана) успешно прошел испытания при работе на газе. Испытания двигателя проводились на борту судна Gaschem Beluga для перевозки сжиженного этилена во время плавания между Хьюстоном и Багамскими островами, говорится в сообщении производителя двигателей MAN Diesel & Turbo.‎

  Двигатель Mitsui-MAN B & W 7G50ME-C9.5-GIE является первым в серии из двух двигателей, которые будут использоваться как главные двигатели движительной установки LEG-танкеров грузоподъемностью 36 тыс. куб. м, которые были заказаны компаниями Hartmann Reederei (Германия) и Ocean Yield (Норвегия). Суда будут построены на китайской верфи Sinopacific Offshore Engineering (SOE).‎
  
  Инженеры ‎MAN Diesel & Turbo проводили контроль работы двигателя на борту судна во время плавания. Двигатель работал на этане при различных режимах и нагрузках. В ходе испытаний не было отмечено утечек газа.‎
  
  Танкер ‎Gaschem Beluga пересек Атлантический океан на пути в Европу, работая только на этане. Общее количество часов работы составило 550 часов.‎ На сегодняшний день ‎MAN Diesel & Turbo получила заказ на восемь двигателей серии ME-GIE.‎
  
  При работе двигателя будет производиться вдув смеси сжиженного углеводородного газа (СУГ) и метана или этана, без потери эффективности работы. Такая смесь может включать до 50% СУГ, однако по результатам испытаний в MAN Diesel & Turbo считают, что возможно увеличить этот процент СУГ в смеси.
