    Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 16% to 24.73 million tonnes in 5M’18

    In January-May 2018, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 24.73 million tonnes of cargo (+16%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 28% to 3.62 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 8% to 3.59 million tonnes, general cargo – up 13% to 5.83 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 37% to 582,200 tonnes.

    The port’s container throughput increased by 13% to 898,614 TEUs.

    In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
