    Сторожевик «Ярослав Мудрый» приступил к формированию конвоя для его проводки через Аденский залив

    Сторожевой корабль «Ярослав Мудрый» Балтийского флота России осуществил переход по Красному морю и приступил к формированию конвоя для его проводки через Аденский залив, сообщает пресс-служба флота.

    «Ярослав Мудрый» выполняет задачи дальнего похода в составе постоянного соединения кораблей ВМФ России в Средиземном море, несколькими днями ранее корабль перешел Суэцким каналом в Красное море и начал антипиратскую миссию в этом районе. На борту корабля находится подразделение морской пехоты, подготовленное с учетом опыта действий по борьбе с пиратами и вертолет Ка-27. После формирования конвоя из гражданских судов экипаж сторожевого корабля осуществит его проводку до выхода в Индийский океан  через районы Аденского залива и Африканского рога.

    Экипаж корабля уже имеет ценный опыт участия в мероприятиях по обеспечению безопасности гражданского судоходства в районах Аденского залива и Африканского рога. Корабль неоднократно выполнял подобные задачи, обеспечив безопасность нескольким десяткам гражданских судов.

    «Ярослав Мудрый» вышел из главной военно-морской базы Балтийского флота 15 апреля и взял курс в Средиземное море. Дальний поход корабля проходит в соответствии с планом боевой подготовки ВМФ России. Основными задачами похода корабля - демонстрация Андреевского флага, выполнение задач в составе постоянного оперативного соединения кораблей ВМФ России в Средиземном море, а также обеспечение безопасности гражданского судоходства в районе Африканского рога.
