    Marinet Conference on most promising technological solutions for maritime industry opens at SMM-2018

    Marinet conference on the most promising maritime high technologies organized by the Industry Association MARINET and Media Group PortNews with the support of RVC in the framework of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) has opened at SMM-2018. Leading Russian and international companies and developers take part in the Marinet Conference. 

    Video broadcasting from the conference is offered on PortNews' website and on PortNews’ Facebook page from 11.30 Moscow time (10.30 Hamburg time). 

    The Marinet Conference programme includes panel discussions on digital navigation and unmanned shipping as well as maritime robotics fest. They will be attended by the leading Russian and international designers, representatives of shipping companies and maritime transport regulators.

    The conference begins with a panel battle on e-navigation and digitalization of maritime operations and logistics. Representatives of Kronshtadt Tecnologies (earlier a part of Transas Group), DANAOS and ShipServ will offer their presentations.

    Prospects and specific features of unmanned ships will be covered by representatives of ABB, Aker Arctic, AME (SPE “Air & Marine Electronics”), DANAOS Management Consultants, KRISO (Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering), Kronshtadt Tecnologies, ShipServ, United Shipbuilding Corp.

    Representatives of SPE AME, Nonius Engineering, AAI (Morinsys-Agat), Krylov State research Center will tell about marine robotics.

    Russian participants include the leading maritime organizations taking part in the MARINET Center: Rosmorrechflot, Sovcomflot, United Shipbuilding Corporation, Kronstadt Technologies, NPM AME, Morinformsystem-Agat Concern, Krylov State Research Center, Nonius Engineering, etc.

    After the break the conference will continue with short speeches about projects in maritime robotics. Get to know the newest implementations in the commercial area and the military solutions conversion, free discuss with developers details and benefits.     SMM, international trade fair for shipbuilding, machinery and maritime technology held since 1963 is a leading industry-specific forum involving representatives of shipyards, shipping companies, design bureaus, suppliers of ship’s equipment, systems, services and technologies in the maritime industry.

    SMM brings together about 50,000 industry visitors from 60 countries. Roughly 2,300 exhibitors and the extensive conference programme accompanying the trade fair will deliver answers to the industry's complex questions.

    Marinet is a part of the National Technology Initiative in area of advanced maritime technologies development.

    National Technology Initiative (NTI) is a key long-term program of the public-private partnership in development of promising new markets based on high-tech solutions that will determine development of the global and Russian economy in the next 15-20 years. Based on long-term outlook of global high tech development the NTI was established in 2015 under the supervision of the Presidential Council for Economic Modernization and Innovative Development. Practical implementation of the NTI started in 2016. The MariNet Working Group numbers over 200 experts representing more than 80 companies, scientific centers and high education institution as well as heads of ad hoc ministries and agencies.

    The MariNet roadmap is aimed at support and promotion of solutions and companies focused on ocean development technologies, digital navigation and innovative shipbuilding to the global market.
