New survey ship built for Azov-Don Basin Administration

Survey ship IRP-1 built at production facilities of Azov-Don Basin Administration’s machinery repair shops was launched on 9 October 2018, says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.

The ceremony was attended by Andrey Ivanov, Minster of Transport of the Rostov Region; Sergey Gaidyev, Head of Azov-Don Basin Administration; other officials and personnel of the repair shops.

The IRP-1 is intended for surveying works in the Lower Don basin.

Key characteristics of the ship: LOA – 12.23 m, BOA – 2.857 m, full displacement – 9.48 t, crew - 7, diesel engine - 70(52) h/p./kW, max speed – 16.0 km/h, class – Category 3.

The ship can be operated in coastal waters and inland water basins with waves of up to 1.2 m and windspeed not exceeding 7.0 m/s, standing off a place of shelter within 11 km.
