1 vessel was escorted by an icebreaker in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland during 24 hours on December 10-11, says Ice Operations Headquarters of the Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
According to Ice Operations Headquarters, 2 icebreakers, are in operation with four more ships in reserve. Technical availability of 7 icebreakers is being recovered. One icebreaker is on her way to Big Port St. Petersburg from Murmansk.
The convoy meeting point has not been announced yet.
Formation of new ice is underway in the Neva Bay and at the top the Gulf of Vyborg.
