Diesel submarine of RF Navy’s Pacific Fleet conducted training exercise in the Sea of Japan
As part of the planned combat training activities, the diesel submarine of the Primorye All-Arms Flotilla of the Pacific Fleet conducted a training exercise in the Sea of Japan during which it trained to attack a detachment of mock enemy's warships, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The anti-submarine strike ship group made up of small-sized ASW ships Ust-Ilimsk and Sovetskaya Gavan, simulating the forces of a mock enemy, performed a search for a submarine at the training area. The submarine detected a detachment in time, stealthily approached the anti-submarine ships at the optimal distance for the attack and fired two practical torpedoes. The submarine also stealthily left the area and continued to perform its tasks after the attack.
