NIBULON embarks on construction of transshipment terminal in Ternivka

NIBULON says an active phase of the construction of the transshipment terminal in Ternivka (Vilniansk district, Zaporizhzhia region) is started. The construction was solemnly started on October 12, 2018 with the help of a live stream from the construction site during the 3rd International Forum for Integration and Cooperation “InCo Forum 2018”.

On this day, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Kostiantyn Bryl handed NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy a Permit to carry out construction works. After that, the first symbolic pile of the new transshipment terminal of “Ternivska” branch was driven. This branch will be the third facility of a leader of Ukraine’s agrarian market in Zaporizhzhia region.

The transshipment terminal for shipment of grain, leguminous and oilseeds on water transport will be built in the shortest possible time, as well as the company's previous facilities were built. The facility is planned to be put into operation in June 2019. Production meetings of the company’s specialists with heads of contracting organizations are regularly held at the construction site in order to solve all urgent construction issues. This week's production meeting at the construction site was headed by NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. As always, he inspected the construction progress of each facility and talked to all contractors.

Excavation works and general construction works are in full swing at the construction site. In parallel with the vertical planning of the territory which envisages embankment of separate areas up to 6 m with the multilayer consolidation, the specialists are driving piles and forming pile fields. They have already driven 1,500 piles out of 3,500 ones envisaged by the project. The specialists finish concreting the foundations of a headhouse and a truck-tipper. After that, the objects will be transferred to other contractors (Construction Company Ltd. and TSKS Ltd.) in order to mount metalware.

The builders from NK BUD (Kyiv) have built walls of the ground floor of the administrative and laboratory building and are preparing it for the construction of the first floor. They have also performed a zero cycle construction works for a workshop. It is the second time the contractor cooperates with NIBULON. It gained a good reputation when constructing the terminal in Hola Prystan (Kherson region).  Kondratiuk Self-Employed Individual has constructed a transformer substation. The contractor continues performing roofing works and preparing to start finishing works. Interbud (Mykolaiv) has constructed 50 % of walls of the cafeteria.

The specialists from Ukrdobrobud Construction Company Ltd. (Kyiv), NIBULON’s long-term and reliable partner, are constructing a 130-m long cargo berth. The organization has performed 70 % of excavation works which envisage the replacement of soil at the berth and filling the sand in its walls. At the same time, the builders complete sheet piling. In total, 200 tons of sheet piles with a total length of more than 3 km will be used.

About 40 units of machinery, including piling machines, heavy-duty crawler cranes and truck cranes, dump trucks, etc., are involved in constructing the high-tech terminal.

On February 27, the participants of the meeting of the Regional Development Council of Zaporizhzhia region headed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko saw a rapid pace of the construction under any weather conditions. As part of the meeting NIBULON’s General Director held a virtual excursion at the construction site.

The new terminal in Ternivka will not only create 120 jobs, but also significantly reduce transportation costs of the region’s agrarians. The construction will comprise an investment of USD 23 million and the amount of tax and non-tax payments to local budgets and extra-budgetary funds from the work of “Ternivska” branch will comprise more than UAH 5 million per year.
