Diesel submarine of RF Navy’s Pacific Fleet participates in exercised in the Sea of Japan
Pacific Fleet diesel submarine deployed in Primorye conducted a drill in the Sea of Japan, during which one of the submarines used torpedo weapons against the mock enemy submarine, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
As part of anti-submarine tactical exercise, submariners have developed practical skills in finding and attacking mock enemy submarine with the bilateral use of weapons.
One diesel submarine of the project 877 stealthily entered the designated area, found the mock enemy submarine and attacked it with one dummy torpedo.
The second submarine completed the evasion maneuver with access to the retaliatory attack.
The actions of the submarines were provided by the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Vinogradov and torpedo boats.
