    МИД России напомнил о соблюдении повышенных мер безопасности в Гвинейском заливе

    Мария Захарова рассказала о возвращении российских моряков с судна Curacao Trader

    В связи с участившимися нападениями пиратов в Гвинейском заливе необходимо соблюдать повышенные меры безопасности судоходства в этом районе Атлантического океана. Об этом заявила 11 сентября 2020 года на брифинге официальный представитель МИД РФ Мария Захарова, сообщает пресс-служба внешнеполитического ведомства.

    «МИД России считает своим долгом напомнить, что в связи с участившимися случаями нападений пиратов в Гвинейском заливе требуется соблюдение повышенных мер безопасности при осуществлении судоходства в этом районе Атлантического океана», - подчеркнула Захарова..

    Представитель МИД РФ рассказала, что 8 сентября благополучно вернулись в Россию семь моряков, похищенных с судна Curacao Trader 17 июля в ходе разбойного нападения в Гвинейском заливе. Это стало возможным благодаря совместным усилиям российских дипломатов, нигерийских официальных властей и представителя компании-судовладельца.

    Однако, как отметила Захарова, случаи пиратских нападений в акватории Гвинейского залива продолжаются. Так, 8 сентября были похищены двое россиян при нападении на судно-рефрижератор Water Phoenix, принадлежащее нидерландской транспортной компании Seatrade Groningen. Сейчас принимаются все необходимые меры по скорейшему освобождению российских моряков.
