    Владимир Путин предложил подумать о создании специальной структуры в рамках системы ООН по борьбе с пиратами

    Президент РФ принял участие в дебатах высокого уровня в Совбезе ООН по морской безопасности

    Президент Российской Федерации Владимир Путин предложил подумать о создании специальной структуры в рамках системы ООН, которая непосредственно занималась бы проблематикой борьбы с морской преступностью в разных регионах. Как сообщает пресс-служба Кремля, глава РФ в режиме видеоконференции принял участие в дебатах высокого уровня в Совете Безопасности Организации Объединённых Наций по теме «Укрепление морской безопасности: необходимость международного сотрудничества».

    Мероприятие состоялось по инициативе премьер-министра Республики Индии (председательствует) в Совете Безопасности ООН в августе 2021 года Нарендры Моди.

    При этом, как отметил Путин, такая структура опиралась бы на поддержку государств – членов ООН и активно привлекала бы к своей работе экспертов, представителей гражданского общества, научно-исследовательские круги и даже частный бизнес.

    По его словам, для того, чтобы добиться реальных успехов на этом направлении, требуется объединить усилия как всех заинтересованных государств, так и международных организаций, региональных структур – при центральной координирующей роли ООН и её Совета Безопасности.

    Обращаясь к членам Совета Безопасности, Владимир Путин подчеркнул, что Россия выступает за неукоснительное соблюдение ключевых норм и принципов международного права, зафиксированных в Уставе ООН, таких как уважение суверенитета, невмешательство во внутренние дела, разрешение споров посредством диалога.

    Он выразил надежду, что участники дебатов согласятся с тем, что принципы ООН обязательны для применения и в сфере «мирного и ответственного использования морских пространств, их природных ресурсов, защиты морской среды, устойчивой экономической деятельности на огромной водной части нашей планеты».

    «Как одна из ведущих морских держав, Россия многое делает для сохранения и укрепления международного правопорядка в области морской безопасности. Наша страна активно участвует в работе по всему комплексу этих вопросов – как в ООН, так и в рамках многочисленных региональных форматов, в том числе по линии Контактной группы по пиратству у берегов Сомали, Регионального форума Ассоциации государств Юго-Восточной Азии по безопасности и Восточноазиатских саммитов», - подчеркнул глава РФ.

    Кроме того, Россия готова делиться имеющимся опытом антитеррористических операций, профилактики и предупреждения преступности, выявления и нейтрализации бандформирований, в том числе и на морских пространствах.
