  MOL получила двухтопливное судно Capilano Sun для транспортировки метанола

  На верфи Hyundai Mipo 4 ноября 2021 года состоялась церемония передачи в эксплуатацию нового судна для транспортировки метанола судоходной компании Mitsui O. S. K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, Токио). Морской метаноловоз, получивший имя Capilano Sun, будет использовать в качестве бункерного топлива как низкосернистый мазут, так и метанол, говорится в сообщении MOL.
  
  Судно будет передано MOL в долгосрочный фрахт судоходной компании Waterfront Shipping Company Limited.
  
  MOL является одним из крупнейших операторов флота из 18 танкеров, перевозящих метанол, включая и новое судно Capilano Sun. С 2016 года MOL имеет в собственности и управлении танкеры с двухтопливными двигателями с возможностью работы на экологически чистом метаноле. В настоящее время в эксплуатации MOL имеются 4 из 13 двухтопливных танкеров для перевозки метанола, работающих по всему миру.
  
  В компании MOL отмечают, что эксплуатация таких двухтопливных танкеров-метаноловозов обеспечивает снижение выбросов оксидов серы (SOx) до 99%, твердых частиц (ТЧ) до 95%, оксидов азота (NOx) до 80% и двуокиси углерода (CO2) до 15% в сравнении с танкерами на обычном топливе. Танкер Capilano Sun соответствует стандартам IMO Tier-3 по уровню выбросов оксидов азота без применения скрубберной установки.
