    Порт Абердин намерен стать первым в Великобритании с нулевым уровнем выбросов к 2040 году

    Администрация порта планирует инвестировать более $69 млн в модернизацию

    Администрация шотландского порта Абердин объявила о намерении инвестировать $69,16 млн (55 млн фунтов стерлингов) в течение следующих 10 лет, чтобы к 2040 году стать первым портом Великобритании с нулевым уровнем выбросов, говорится в сообщении порта.

    Для достижения этой цели необходимо будет обеспечить нулевой уровень выбросов с судов, заходящих в порт, а также гарантировать экологичность всех портовых операций. Порт Абердин будет проводить измерения выбросов при выполнении операций по сравнению с базовым уровнем 2019 года, когда объем выбросов составил 55 тыс. тонн эквивалента CO2. Отмечается, что 97% выбросов приходится на именно суда, заходящие в порт.

    Кроме того порт проведет оценку производительности по показателю углеродоемкости, основанному на валовой вместимости судов, после того как проект расширения в южной гавани Абердина будет полностью завершен в течение 12 месяцев.

    По планам порта значительного сокращения выбросов в ближайшие годы удастся добиться за счет использования береговых электростанций для питания заходящих судов. Ввод мощностей на трех причалах запланирован уже на 2024 году. Также планам по борьбе с выбросами будет способствовать использование альтернативных видов топлива с низким содержанием углерода.

    Порт в целях снижению воздействия на окружающую среду  ввел в эксплуатацию на своей территории электротранспорт и установил светодиодное освещение на причалах.

    В последние годы портовые власти уже инвестировали значительные средства в развитие портовой инфраструктуры. Модернизация южной гавани откроет возможности для роста при энергетической трансформации, включая использование морского ветра, водорода и вывод из эксплуатации устаревшего оборудования.
