Evergreen Marine Corp. has premiered a maiden-voyage film for EVER ECO, its first ZNZ dual-fuel green containership, according to Evergreen Marine’s official post.
The 16,000-TEU-class E-type containership is fitted with a methanol dual-fuel main engine.
Evergreen Marine said ZNZ stands for Zero or Near-Zero.
The film was first shown during the vote-counting interval at Evergreen Marine’s annual shareholders’ meeting in Taiwan on 28 May. It uses time-lapse footage to show the vessel’s construction process at Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and includes scenes from the ship’s maiden voyage across nine ports in Asia and Europe.
Evergreen Marine said EVER ECO gives the company wider deployment options across shipping routes and forms part of its push toward net-zero carbon emissions under the slogan “Cleaner Energy, Greener Future”.
